Disability portfolio
MLA has published a disability portfolio, a collection of twelve guides on how best to meet the needs of disabled people as users and staff in museums, libraries and archives. The portfolio provides invaluable advice, information and guidance to help services overcome barriers and to follow good practice. To access the portfolio, visit the MLA website.
Disability checklist
MLA's self-assessment toolkit is intended to help those working in museums, libraries and archives to improve access for disabled people. The toolkit can be downloaded from the MLA website.
Disability database
With input from MLA East Midlands and the other regional agencies, MLA has developed a database of disability consultants, auditors and trainers. The Disability database has been developed to assist museums, libraries and archives to work towards achieving equal access for disabled people.
