MLA East Midlands 4 Funding

Search for grants and funding opportunities

Grants for the museums, libraries and archives in the UK come from a variety of sources – the European Commission, UK national and regional government, the National Lottery and charitable trusts. Public sector organisations, community groups and the independent sector could all benefit from the many funding schemes which East Midlands’ museums, libraries and archives are eligible for. The sector’s ability to secure funding from these schemes inevitably depends on the nature of the applicant’s organisation, the activity or project to be funded and the precise use to which the money will be put.

To help the region’s museums, libraries and archives search for and identify funding opportunities, MLA East Midlands has provided a free grant funding database - MLA East Midlands 4 Funding. The database is delivered in partnership with j4b, a European leader in supplying funding information, and provides:

  • quick funding search facility
  • 24 hour updates for comprehensive funding information
  • full scheme and contact details linking you directly to the funding providers
  • local information, support and contact details to help your organisation meet its potential

The system allows you to browse through the different types of grant schemes available or enter brief details of your organisation and project to conduct a funding search of the entire database.

To find out more about how funding works there is also a comprehensive guide to applying for funding - see the Help and Guidance section on the Funding Search page.
