Strategic Commissioning 2007/08

MLA East Midlands invites expressions of interest from museums and archives who wish to participate in the Strategic Commissioning 2007/08 programme.

There are three ways that museums and archives can participate:

Programme A: Learn with Museums and Archives education project that includes a Learning Links reciprocal placement with a school/s and includes the support of a Museum Education Worker (for smaller museums without education staff / expertise)

Programme B: Learn with Museums and Archives education project that includes a Learning Links reciprocal placement with a school/s (for larger museums with education / learning staff)

Programme C: Learning Links reciprocal placement with a school/s (open to Renaissance lead partner museums)

MLA East Midlands has a total of £80 000 available to fund projects and placements. Museums and archives without education staff / expertise will also benefit from the ongoing support of a Museum Education Worker who is able to provide guidance and help to deliver at all stages of the project / placement.

Strategic Commissioning 2007/08 presents an opportunity for your organisation to develop new audiences and partnerships that support the wider work of the museum / archive and raise your profile within the local community. The programme also provides excellent opportunities to support continuing professional development for staff.
