Friday 23 November 2007, 11:00-12:30
MLA East Midlands offices
In partnership with Arts & Business East Midlands, MLA East Midlands would like to invite you to take part in a skills development programme to help museums, libraries and archives to raise money from the private sector.
As part of Enterprise Week 2007, Arts & Business will run this seminar at MLA East Midlands on 23 November to introduce the programme, answer questions, and find out what your current fundraising needs are.
Importantly, all attendees will be asked to prepare, in advance, a single side of A4 detailing their reasons for participating in the scheme and what any resulting sponsorship would be used for. This work will form part of the selection criteria which will help determine the seven attendees that will be chosen on the day for inclusion on the programme.
The seven successful organisations will work with Arts & Business intensively to:
- Develop an appropriate private sector fundraising strategy
- Build skills and knowledge levels for selected staff about sponsorship and individual giving
- Create new relationships and networks with the private sector
- Share good practice and experience with the other organisations on the programme
The programme will be entirely free to you at the point of entry, but it would involve staff time and resources, and the commitment of other resources by your organisation to work on a successful fundraising strategy.
To book your place on the 23 November master class, contact Audrey Thomas at MLA East Midlands. Telephone 0116 2851369 or email Audrey.
For queries relating to the programme, please contact Liz Towner, Learning and Workforce Development Manager.
