The Renaissance Heritage Awards were launched in 2007, with awards for every county in the East Midlands. The awards are based on existing awards in Leicestereshire and Rutland, supported also by Leicestershire County Council.
The awards recognise excellence in museums and heritage with three categories which museums can enter:
- Best exhibition
- Best event
- The inspiration award
Judges will also reward the museum of the year.
The awards are open to all museums and heritage groups in each county. Judging normally takes place in June with the awards ceremonies being held in July.
For more information, including the latest winners, and entry forms for the next awards, visit the Renaissance Heritage Awards page on the Renaissance East Midlands website.
